Introducing Our New Dialectical Behavior Adolescent Group
We are proud to annouce…
We will be holding a weekly adolescent DBT skills group Wednesdays each week from 4-6 PM. Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a comprehensive therapy for adolescents which may include individual and group therapy. Providers of this group are Behavior Tech intensively trained DBT therapists, Jordan Crosby, LMFT-A and Emily Williams, LPC, LAC, MAC, ADCII.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy skills group includes skills in 5 important areas of functioning: mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and walking the middle path skills. DBT has been used to treat a variety of adolescent difficulties and is especially notable for high-risk behaviors associated with emotional dysregulation including but not limited to self-harm, suicidal ideation, substance use, anger episodes, and intense emotional difficulties. DBT has also been useful in treating other behaviors such as impulsivity and difficult interpersonal challenges.
If you or a loved one are interested in participating in this group, we are currently holding open enrollment for our first segment. If you don’t get into this segment, please do not worry! The group is opened to new participants at the start of each segment. Each segment is approximately 6-8 weeks in length. We cannot wait to see you there!
