Cristin Wood, LMFT
Cristin Wood primarily works with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. She specializes in the treatment of anxiety, adjustment issues (for when life changes in big or little ways), coping skill building, and the clarification of goals and values to help people lead a more fulfilling life. She is passionate about helping her clients use their strengths to build resilience and skills that can help them weather life's storms.
Cristin uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and various family systems approaches to help her clients. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and earned her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy as well as undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Art Therapy from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Previously, she worked in the Spartanburg County school system providing school based therapies to children ages 5-18.
In her spare time, Cristin can be found hiking up a mountain with her husband or painting outdoors with watercolors. She has four dogs and will talk about them given any opportunity. She also enjoys reading, camping, and driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway with the windows down.
