Alexis “Lexi” Richter, LMFT-A

Lexi Richter is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She earned her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College in Spartanburg, SC. Previously, she worked at a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) as a children's therapist and forensic interviewer. Additionally, she also works as a school based therapist providing services to elementary school aged children. No matter the age, Lexi's goal is to create an environment where one feels safe and encouraged to be their authentic self. 

Lexi is trained in EMDR, TF-CBT and is working to become a Registered Play Therapist (RPT); allowing her to work with persons of all ages who may have intensive trauma histories. Additionally, she also specializes in the treatment of attachment issues, complex trauma/PTSD, family conflicts, and  relationship issues. Lexi uses Experiential Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Trauma Focused Therapy, Transgenerational Family Therapy and various other family system approaches to help her clients find compassion and healing within themselves. 

In her spare time, Lexi can be found spending time with her friends or listening to live music. She also  has a dog and will talk about him at any given opportunity. Lexi also enjoys travelling, painting, or spending time visiting museums.
