Michael Jameson, LPC

“Just breathe. You are strong enough to handle your challenges, wise enough to find solutions to your problems, and capable enough to do whatever needs to be done.”

Michael is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with his clients to empower them with healthy tools to achieve their goals. He sees children, adolescents and adults, and has expertise in working with both patients with special needs and their families. He understands that neurological and other medical diagnoses can present unique challenges for not only the patient, but often their parents and siblings as well. Michael also has specialized knowledge in helping clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD and parenting skills. He believes in providing a safe environment for clients to explore their strengths and challenges, building strategies to achieve healthier relationships and self images.

With more than 25 years of experience in the Mental Health field, including direct patient care and administration responsibilities, Michael has a Masters Degree of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. He has served on a variety of boards and committees focused on children, special needs and mental health. Outside of his family, one of his proudest achievements was being named a “Hero to the Child” by the Governor for his work on improving access and inclusion for children and adolescents.

In his free time, Michael can be found at the soccer field or the barn, often behind the lens of a camera.
